Peter Obi, the Labour Party's (LP) presidential candidate, has been described as one of the best candidates for president and a very decent man.
Aminu Wali, a former Ambassador, and Foreign Affairs Minister made the statement.
Peter Obi's tribe, according to the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) founding father, will, unfortunately, work against him.
"Unfortunately, where he is coming from, we have a problem," he told The Sun. If the Igbo leadership cannot contain IPOB and the rascal known as Kanu, how can I take my fate and give it to someone else?
"Well, I can't take my fate and the fate of my people and give it to people who can't put their house in order."
He did, however, add that if the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) can be restrained, Igbos can be supported in their bid for president.
"Now, the IPOB has more control in every state..., just as you say in Sokoto or Zamfara, Katsina, and a bit of Kaduna... Who makes the decisions in each of the Southeast's five states?" Wali inquired.
And once there is an active secessionist tendency in any part of Nigeria, you cannot afford to give those people a chance to succeed in the succession. Nobody is telling you that you can't.
"If you follow the constitutional method of dissolving the country, no one can oppose you because it is written in the constitution." Follow the constitution all the way to a referendum. Fine.”
